Well this week was pretty busy, interesting, and good. Let´s get started:
1.
Well we thought that we were going to have our transfer interview
with President but we decided to have a meeting as an office with
president to see the new member and investigator tracking system that
President´s old company is making for us. Pretty much every week every
single district leader needs to put every investigator with a baptismal
date on a spread sheet so that we can see their progess. This new system
is supposed to take out the use of spreadsheets by pretty much making
tiles with all of the information color coded. Like for example the tile
has a little person on it with a picture of a calendar. If the calendar
is green it means that the investigator is attending church. If it is
yellow it means he has missed one or two weeks. If it is red it means
that the investigator has not attended for more than three weeks. And so
the thing is is that if we have that we can know who is progressing and
who isn't in like less than a minute. It´s super awesome!
2.
But also this week we had leadership council to talk about our goals
from last month (February). Our Baptismal goal was 263 (which usually it
is about 140. so High Goal). But we had 154 baptisms! WE MADE HISTORY
THIS LAST MONTH!!!!!!!! But the best is yet to come. Our new goal for
THIS month is about 370 baptisms!!!!!!!! Everybody is super excited
about it. But the thing is is that President before everyone presented their goals said that if every missionary has the faith, has the
desires, and works hard enough the Lord will bless us and we can baptize
400 people in a month! And we are starting to see the effects of it.
This is going to happen and it is going to be awesome!!!!!
3.
Right after the council we usually have lunch but this time president
told me not to get lunch which was weird until I later found out that
we were going to Rodizios! Literally was the second time I had gone
there in a week. But the thing is there is that if you go there a week
before or after your birthday they sing happy birthday to you. Well the
thing is is that the leadership council was on the 28! UGH! I did not
want to go through that again but it happened. I almost avoided it
though.
Well this week was pretty normal. had
its ups and downs, from trying to get the area offices to work with me
to just sitting in the office being bored like crazy. But I think that
last night really helped me to realize that we are still having success
in our area even though we are hardly in it. Yesterday we had a convert
group meeting where we pretty much had a family home evening just with
all of the converts in our ward. We mainly talked about reading the
scriptures and how God still talks to us now. As our ward mission leader
was up talking and getting things started I was looking around at how
many people had shown up. We had Cesar and his wife show up, Selene, Zumiko, Fabio, Estefani, and Gabriella. But we also had Rosie and her
family show up which was amazing. Rosie has been a member for about 9
months now and has been inactive for awhile. After multiple tries of
trying to find her we finally found her this week and she is actually
starting to come back. The last time we had a meeting with all of the
converts we only had like 4 people show up. This time we were able to
bring around 16 people to the meeting and it just goes to show that all
is well. Even though every emergency happens with us here in the office
the Lord is blessing us with this success of bringing everyone to the
fold.
Miss you all tons,
Elder Garbett
