Well like my title says the beginning of this transfer was (and still is) super busy. We had the 17 new missionaries come in and so I had to take care of all of the rooms and make sure that they were ready for the newbie coming in. SOOOOOO it was super frustrating and I don´t really want to talk about it. BUT! Even throughout all of that we had a super Miracle happen this week which was super amazing. And of course I am going to share it with you all.
So on Wednesday we
had a busy day and we didn't leave the office until about 6:30- 7 ish.
So by then we didn't have any lessons or appointments so it was just
time to contact (which we really didn't want to do). But we decided to
go to an area where Bishop suggested where we should start working. But
while we were on our way Elder Dahl suggested that we go back and try to
contact the referral that we received that was a self referral. So we
went back (the first time nobody was even home) and decided to knock on
the 3 floor. (very) Surprisingly one of the senior missionaries (who is
in charge of health in the area offices) answered the door and just told
us to go on up.
While we were heading up we
were planning that we were going to ask her and her husband about the referral but right when we got there she had us sit down and she brought
out a glass of water with Ice Cream (First off super weird combination
but thanks). And then we started talking and she told us that there was a
recently returned missionary who had contracted some sort of illness
while out on the mission and it was affecting him really bad. So they
were trying to help the RM get the operation he needed but the Guarantee
of pay didn't make it on time and the RM died on the operation table.
So
the Senior missionaries were feeling really bad about that situation
and then they asked us why we were there with them. Now they had just
given me water, Ice Cream, and told us this story that is making them
feel really bad So I am not going to just say ´´Oh we are just here
looking for a referral.´´ So Elder Dahl and I said that we came to share
a message with them. So Elder Dahl shared a super powerful scripture
which was 2 Nephi 2: 24 which states ´´But behold, all things have been
done in the wisdom of him who knoweth all things.´´
Right
then as we were testifying Elder Dahl and I realized that this exact
situation was a product of that scripture. The first time we had showed
up to the referral´s address no-one was home at all. And for some reason
Elder Dahl had the impression to go back to the referrals place. And
then I had the Impression to knock on the third floor which was the
place where some people were needing some comfort. and Then during that
time we figured out a way that will make the process of getting Guarantees of pay a lot more faster.
Now after
all of that we ended the message and started talking to the senior
couple some more. And then we decided to ask about the referral. When we
asked if they knew the person and they both said that there was nobody
in that building with that name. And by then our minds just exploded. We
knew it was too good to be true that we received a self given referral.
BUT for some reason we were given that referral to go to that house.
And we found that reason. Its just super awesome to be here as the
Lord´s representative!
