Well this week was super hectic:
Pretty much every
day this week was the same and so there isn't very much to say. We
pretty much had 3 things going on that we had to juggle this week. Training's that lasted until 5 (which I am in charge of making sure that
EVERYTHING gets done so that it can run smoothy), dinners with the
members now that we don´t have a pension, and a baptism that is actually
going to happen at 2 today.
So we had training's everyday from Tuesday to Friday. Each one lasted from 9 to 5.
And during all of that I was running around doing things from playing
the piano to trying to fix a television plug to cutting cucumbers for
the lunch. Right after that we had to clean up and be at an appointment
at six with our investigators to help them be prepared for their baptism
today. And then after that we had to somehow sit down with member for
an hour and eat dinner and then go buy break for the next training. So
pretty much that was the focus this week.
But
during all of that I can´t believe that we were able to go and teach
Cesar and his family. Today their baptism is going to happen at 2. It
will be Cesar, his daughter Nicole, and his son Fabian. We met them
around the beginning of this year when Cesar and his wife (who was a less
active member at the time) showed up to church out of the blue. Elder
Dahl and I contacted them and set up a date to go and visit them. When
we showed up we also found their daughter and son. Apparently about a
year ago they had been taking the lessons from the missionaries but
nothing really happened. Now after a lot of work and running we were able
to teach them and they are absolutely chosen. They truly are an example
of the scripture 29:7. I will probably be getting back to the office
later and I will send the picture of their baptism then.
Miss you all tons,
Elder Garbett
